Family Camp Flapjacks

INGREDIENTS

175g Butter

140g Golden Syrup

50g Light Muscovado Sugar

250g Oats

100g Mixed Dried Fruit (optional)

(Makes aprox. 12 bars)

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180oC/gas 4/fan 160oC.
  2. Grease 23cm square tin (or equivalent).
  3. Put butter, syrup and sugar into a medium pan.
  4. Stir over low heat until melted and sugar dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in oats and fruit.
  6. Press mixture into tin.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes in tin then mark into bars.
  9. Cool completely in tin before removing and cutting into bars.
