Family Camp Fruit Cake

INGREDIENTS

170g Self raising flour

85g Margarine or butter

85g Sugar

85g Sultanas

1 large egg

pinch of salt

enough milk to make a soft consistency

14g Demerara sugar 

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180oC/gas 4/fan 160oC.
  2. Grease 6inch round tin (or equivalent).
  3. Sieve flour and salt then rub in Margarine.
  4. Stir in beaten egg and enough milk to make soft consistency.
  5. Put in tin level surface and sprinkle with Demerara sugar.
  6. Bake for 1 hour.
  7. Cool cake in tin.
