New Group Scout Leader for 1st Galleywood
On Monday 8th June we saw our new Group Scout Leader, Mark Cordell, invested. District commissioner Sue Wild did the honours. Gwen Hudson the Deputy District Commissioner, Barry Warren-Watson the chairman of the executive committee for 1st Galleywood and the Beaver section, witnessed the event.
Funday
We held our 3rd Funday on Saturday 6th June. The weather held out for the day and things got underway at 12pm. There was plenty to do such as visiting the Scout camp that had been set up complete with campfire or doing an obstacle course set up by the Cubs. A BBQ and ice cream van kept everyone fed, as well as a cake stall by the Beaver section. At 2.30 a dog show took place; there was a good turn out including a couple of honouree Scouts.
